CBD Oil Recommended Dosing

CBD Oil is typically sold in a specific concentration per volume of oil, e.g., 300 mg of CBD in a 30 ml tincture. That results in a 10 mg/ml of concentration for that specific volume.

As an example, for a 65 lb dog, administering a 300 mg/30 ml tincture of CBD, will result in a recommended dosage of 0.325 ml, 0.813 ml or 1.625 ml, respectively for a Basic, Moderate or Severe condition dose.

Keep in mind, each full dropper is calibrated to equal 1 ml, as such, those ml values can be equated to fractional amounts of the dropper, i.e., 0.325 ml = 0.325 of a dropper, 0.813 ml = 0.813 of a dropper and 1.625 ml = 1.625 of a dropper.

To further simplify things, and using the same example, we would administer either 0.25 to .5 ml (or dropper increments) for Basic, 0.75 – 1.0 ml (or dropper increments) for Moderate and 1.5 – 1.75 ml (or dropper increments)for Severe. It never hurts to round up when administering CBD as there are no negative side effects to too much CBD and at these levels, it’s not an issue. Of course, you are welcome to measure everything out exactly or as close as possible.

As noted above, each Dropper sold by Kona Blue Naturals is a calibrated 1 ml dropper. As such, in a 30 ml vial, you will get 30 droppers full of oil. Based on the dosage calculated below, you will administer a fraction of a dropper, depending on the weight of your pet.

Basic Dose: starting dose, preventative and mild pain, anxiety and discomfort.

Moderate Dose: advancing dose, regular or recurring pain, anxiety and discomfort.

Severe Does: chronic dose for severe paid, higher anxiety and when trying to provide maximum comfort.
